Day
1:Nairobi- Amboseli
You will be picked at your Hotel or at the
Airport and transferred to Wilson Airport for
morning or afternoon scheduled flight to
Amboseli National Park. Amboseli is known for
it's enormous elephant population and other big
game that are attracted to the area by
underground springs fed from Mt. Kilimanjaro.
Your home for the next two nights you will be at
the AMBOSELI SERENA LODGE. Built in the style of
a masai village, this unique lodge enjoys one of
the best game-viewing locations in the park.
From the comfort of the dinning terrace you can
watch animals come down to the swamp to drink.
The rooms, each with an uninterrupted view over
the ever-changing vistas of the African plains,
are styled to a traditional Maasai concept
featuring beadwork, gourds, hand-painted murals
and the clever use of the traditional manyatta
bent-brushwood effect so as to blend an
authentic nomadic aura with all the comforts of
unabashed five star luxuries. Guests can also
enjoy an acacia-shaded swimming pool fed daily
by the melt-waters of Kilimanjaro, a selection
of natural timber game viewing decks, a water
hole for the animals and an alluring selection
of watering holes for the guests.
Arriving in time for lunch, you will have some
time to relax before departing on an afternoon
game drive in the park. With luck, the cloud
cover will lift to reveal the spectacular Mt.
Kilimanjaro. Return to the lodge in the early
evening in time for a sundown and dinner.
Overnight at AMBOSELI SERENA LODGE (LD).
