Kenya lodge safari: Aberdare National Park 2 Days

The Aberdare ranges lie at an altitude of about
2134-4268 m and is home to the first tree hotel in
Africa and harbors significant memories in world
history. In 1952, Queen Elizabeth 11 learnt of her
accession to the British throne while she was a
guest at the Tree Tops Lodge following the death of
her father King George V1. It is also at the nearby
town of Nyeri that lays the remains and tomb of Lord
Baden Powel, the founder of the Worldwide Boy Scouts
Movement.It offers mountain attractions and flora &
fauna found at different altitudes. The wildlife
includes colobus monkeys, bushbucks, elephants,
olive baboon, waterbucks, leopards, giant forest
hogs, genet cats, hyena and the elusive bongo.
Accommodation: Lodges, self-catering bandas, public
campsite.
This safari takes you through
small industrial town of Thika surrounded by extensive
pineapple plantations. After crossing the Tana River, source
of much of Kenya's Hydro power, the landscape changes and
becomes more lush as you climb into the rich farmlands of the
Kikuyu people. The night is spent and
where a procession of
wild animals visit the floodlight water hole and salt licks.
Elephants , Rhino, buffalo, giant forest hog and many other
species are commonly seen.
Day 1- Nairobi- Tree
lodge:
The drive
passes the small industrial town of Thika surrounded by
extensive pineapple plantations. After crossing the Tana
River, source of much of Kenya's Hydro power, the landscape
changes and becomes more lush as you climb into the rich
farmlands of the Kikuyu people. Lunch is taken at the Out span
Hotel in Nyeri for visitors visiting Tree Tops, at Mountain
Lodge and at Aberdares Country Club for visitors visiting the
Ark. In the afternoon proceed to your Tree Lodge where the
night is spent and where a procession of wild animals visit
the floodlight water hole and salt licks. Elephants , Rhino,
buffalo, giant forest hog and many other species are commonly
seen. Overnight at The Ark / Treetops tree Lodge.
Day 2- Tree lodge- Nairobi.
In the
morning after breakfast descend back to your base hotel and
proceed back to Nairobi in time for lunch.
The Cost of the safari ranges from US$530 per person
sharing ,but price range is determined by the number of people
booking, the season of intended safari and choice of
accommodation.
