18 DAYS - MOUNT KENYA - SWEETWATERS - TREETOPS - LAKE NAKURU - LAKE NAIVASHA - MASAI MARA - MOMBASA


 DAY 1: ARRIVAL NAIROBI

On arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International airport, you will be met and transferred to the BOULEVARD HOTEL.

Overnight: BOULEVARD HOTEL (BB)

DAY 2: NAIROBI

After breakfast spent your time at leisure or optional activities eg visit Nairobi animal ophanage ,National museum, city tour, Giraffe centre or Karen Blixen. Overnight: BOULEVARD HOTEL (BB)

DAY 3: NAIROBI - MOUNT  KENYA-These parks and game reserves are part of the most fascinating sanctuaries in terms of scenic splendors and the great variety of wildlife. Mount Kenya N. Park lies at an altitude of approximately 3,400m – 5,200m. It offers mountain attractions and flora & fauna found at different altitudes. The wildlife includes colobus monkeys, bushbucks, elephants, olive baboon, waterbucks, leopards, giant forest hogs, genet cats, hyena and the elusive bongo.

The Aberdare ranges lie at an altitude of about 2134-4268 m and is home to the first tree hotel in Africa and harbors significant memories in world history. In 1952, Queen Elizabeth 11 learnt of her accession to the British throne while she was a guest at the Tree Tops Lodge following the death of her father King George V1. It is also at the nearby town of Nyeri that lays the remains and tomb of Lord Baden Powel, the founder of the Worldwide Boy Scouts Movement.

Journey north, passing near Thika, which boasts the World's third largest pineapple plantation, Arrive at the Sweetwater's tented camp for lunch.Afterwards proceed for evening game drive, Dinner and Overnight.

DAY 4: SWEETWATERS TENTED CAMP

Both AM and PM game drive in this private Sanctuary, All meals served at the camp. Overnight Sweetwater's camp.

DAY 5: SWEETWATERS -TREE TOPS

After breakfast depart to the Tree tops, lunch at the Outspan hotel ,Afterwards transfer to Tree tops for overnight game viewing .A uniquely shaped lodge tucked away in the Aberdare National Park Forest .The lodge water-hole and salt link are well lit at night when the animals come to drink and a well concealed "hide" affords eye-eye veiwing of forest Elephant and other game ,including the endangered Rhino.Please look out for : Baboon, Buffalo, Bushback pig, Civets, Duikers, Giant forest Hog, Colobus and Syke's Monkeys. The birdlife includes some species not common in other places among them being : Green Ibis, Rufous, Sparrow Hawk, Mountain Buzzard, Crowned Eagle and silvery-Cheeked Hornbill. Note: Warm clothing is advisable as nights tend to be chilly, but only an overnight bag is required. The rest of the luggage is stored at the Outspan hotel. Children below 7 years not permitted. DAY 6: TREETOPS - LAKE NAKURU LODGE

Morning transfer to Outspan hotel for breakfast. Rejoin your driver guide and proceed to the Lake Nakuru National Park. You'll arrive at the Lion Hill Lodge -affording unforgettable views of the Lake from its hillside perch. Tree Tops LodgeThe lodge also is a perfect base from which to explore the Lake, with its fabulous array of birds as well as many types of game, including waterbuck, rhino, leopard and buffalo. Afternoon game drive in the park .A game drive in Nakuru National park which is, of course, know for its birdlife -as thousands of flamingoes make this Lake their home among hundreds of other species .But wildlife is also in abundance here. You'll see large large numbers of waterbuck, warthog, impala buffalo, plain game, cheetah and Rhino as Nakuru National park remains one of the Kenya's Rhino sanctuary.

Dinner and overnight Lion Hill Lodge or similar.

DAY 7: LAKE NAKURU - LAKE NAIVASHA

After breakfast proceed to Lake Naivasha (and this is the highest Lake in the Rift valley ) Also Lake Naivasha is famous in the 1930's as a staging post for Imperial Airways Flying Boast services from Durban to London. Check in at Lake Naivasha Simba lodge or Chui lodge After lunch visit the Hell's gate National park famous for its natural steaming geysers and haven for birds watchers.

Dinner and overnight at Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge.

DAY 8: LAKE NAIVASHA

After breakfast, you can have a boat ride to the crescent Island (optional activities) crescent Island is one of the few places in all Africa where you can wander on foot among herds of Zebra, wildebeest gazelle and giraffe, because of the absence of predators.

Dinner and overnight at Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge.

DAY 9: LAKE NAIVASHA - NAIROBI- MASAI MARA

After breakfast drive to Nairobi and transfer to Wilson airport for your 1 hour flight to Maasai Mara game reserve departing at 1000hrs. Arrive at the famous Masai Mara for afternoon game drive and overnight. All meals included.

DAY 10 - 11 MASAI MARA

Enjoy a full day in the Mara with two game drives included. This reserve is situated to the west of Nairobi, on Tanzania's northern border-it is the extension to the larger Serengeti National Reserve in Tanzania. The Masai Mara offers wonderful scenery and abundance as existed a century ago. It is a reserve of breathtaking vistas, panoramas of vast rolling plains, hills and woodland groves, well watered by the lovely Mara River which bisects the reserve from north to south .The Mara is the home to the largest population of lions in Kenya, these magnificent beasts spending most of the day sleeping in the shade of acacia trees.Vast herds of buffalo, Zebra, and wildebeest roam the plains.Impala, gazelle, giraffe and hartebeest grace the landscape, and the cautious topi may also be seen standing sentinel on earth mounds on constant look-out of predators.The waters of the Mara River are home to crocodiles and pools of hippo, the acacia woodlands and revering forests favored by leopard and elephant, and the open savannah and drybush areas play host to the plain's game and their attendant predators such as Lion, cheetah , hyena and jackal.

DAY 12: MASAI MARA - MOMBASA

Bid farewell to the Mara, after lunch as you are transferred to the airstrip to connect flight to Mombasa.

Arrival and transfer to Mombasa Serena beach booked on half board.

DAY 13 - 16 MOMBASA. Booked on half board

DAY 17: MOMBASA - NAIROBI

After breakfast transfer to the airport for your flight back to Nairobi, Check in at the Serena hotel (BB). With a farewell dinner at the Carnivore Restaurant.

DAY 18: DEPARTURE BACK HOME. After breakfast transfer to the airport for departure flight Home.
